What the market told us
…Knowing with absolute certainty that the underlying data is correct is definitely the number one problem. And the lag of information is the second problem. Addressing that is extremely important because we can’t react unless we know what the issue is.
What’s inside
It all comes down to the finance operating model.
Rising operating costs and strained cash flow are two of the biggest challenges facing finance leaders. But for many teams, the infrastructure is standing in the way. Core accounts receivable (AR), accounts payable (AP), and tax compliance processes remain heavily manual.
62% say their AR/payments systems are poorly integrated. The impact goes beyond delays and errors. Firms with connected infrastructures and integrated ERPs—Maturity Leaders—report better outcomes across the board.
Average DSO across respondents is 53 days: 21 days longer than their best possible DSO. But Maturity Leaders report an average DSO nearly 10 days lower than other respondents, potentially freeing up significant amounts of cash.
Yet only 21% have a modernized, effective payments infrastructure. What’s holding them back—and what is it costing them?
45% agree it’s a drag on efficiency. Yet Maturity Leaders say the opposite. What are they doing differently?
The opportunity goes beyond individual processes.
Every handoff crosses teams and technology. Maturity Leaders show what becomes possible when the right foundations are in place.
